This policy explains what moving.one (“we”, “us”) collects when you request an estimate or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. moving.one is a moving-estimate platform; moves are performed by the licensed carrier named at the end of this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, the pickup and drop-off addresses and details of your move (home size, access, dates), and any messages you send us. If you choose to use them, we also collect the room photos you upload or capture to help estimate your inventory, and, if you use our voice assistant, an audio recording and transcript of that conversation. We also collect basic usage data automatically (pages visited, device and browser type, and similar analytics data).
How we use it
To prepare and refine your estimate, connect you with licensed crews, schedule and fulfill your move, process payments, respond to inquiries, and send service updates about your request. With your consent, we may also send occasional offers and moving tips, and we use analytics and advertising tools to measure and improve our marketing. Photos and voice recordings are used only to prepare and service your quote.
Calls and text messages
When you provide your phone number and continue, you agree that we and the fulfilling carrier may contact you by phone call and text message about your move and request, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help.
How we share it
We share your information with the licensed carrier that performs your move, and with service providers who operate our platform on our behalf — for example payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), hosting and data storage (Vercel, Upstash), analytics and tag management (Google), and our estimate assistant provider (xAI). We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and for our legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).
Your choices & rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, and opt out of texts by replying STOP. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of your information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or any “sharing” of your data for advertising — to exercise these, email us with the subject “Privacy Request”. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; you can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the tools your ad providers offer.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
